Outings and Activities
There is a broad range of options to choose from for day outings and an exciting range of craft activities on offer in our studio or outdoors on our smallholding.
Nature Reserves and Bird watching
Montrose Basin is the largest tidal estuary on the Scottish east coast, covering 750 hectares with over 80,000 migratory birds visiting each year. Nearby St Cyrus offers over 3 miles of golden sand and grassy dunes, with ample opportunities for a picnic on the beach. There are numerous lochs and bird hides throughout the Angus glens, waiting to be discovered by the patient nature observer.

Animals and Wildlife Centres
Just outside the glen are plenty places for animal lovers, including the Donkey Sanctuary, Camperdown Zoo, Murton Farm, Alyswood Rare Breads, Pathead Horse Centre, and several local farms open to visitors.
On our own smallholding we also have many friendly pets!

Castles and Heritage Sites
Dive into the local history of Angus, the birthplace of Scotland. From the Picts to early Christianity, monasteries, castles, fortresses and historic houses, there are dozens of treasured places to visit and hidden stories to discover that connect us to the very best of our national treasures.

Craft Activities and Creative Skills
We have a bright and inviting art studio for those who would like to engage in artistic activities and can offer broad range of creative crafts.
We also delight in culinary arts and most of our guest have enjoyed preparing their favourite bakes and cakes.
